My name is Megan! I am the photographer for Dynamic Studios. I am 24 and married to my amazing husband Connor Kontz. We have the cutest French bulldog Charlie and own a home in Moorhead MN. I graduated college with a degree in Business administration and marketing in 2021 and went full time with photography in 2022.
Gavin Fernholz videographer
This is Gavin! He is our amazing videographer. He graduated from NDSU with a degree in marketing December of 2023. He currently works full time for In House Advertising while also doing videography for Dynamic Studios. He has an amazing girlfriend named Liv and they share the cutest black lab Luna!
2019
In 2019 I (Megan) was looking for something to harness my creative energy into. I was going to Dental Hygiene school and thinking about how much I needed something to be mine. I struggled with looking at my life and seeing no creative outlets. I love music, art, reading, I kept thinking to myself how can I incorporate these things into my life. Then I took some iPhone photos of my siblings and thought how much fun I had posing them, dressing them up, and just laughing about the fun images we took. It dawned on me then exactly what I needed to do. I bought a camera from the Facebook marketplace for $150. It had one lens no flash but it was something I was super excited to try out. I realized that taking photos was harder than I thought and did classes and watched a ton of YouTube videos. I realized how much I loved it and started an Instagram for my photos. I started posting for model calls and that is how "Photos by Megan B" started!

I never thought that being bored one night would create my future career. I got my sisters all dressed up and took some beautiful photos of them. It turned into such a nice memory with them and fueled me to purchase my first camera.

Posting this model call on instagram really pushed my business forward. Making my instagram was also a huge step and made me really be like "okay this is something I am serious about how do I make it my reality."
My first logo
I was so proud of this logo. I knew I wanted something really girly and pretty. I searched for hours for the right camera and put it together on some random site. I remember paying to get it in high quality and being so excited.

I was so grateful to have some wonderful friends who were okay with modeling. Looking back on my first few photos it's crazy to think how far I have come! I am so grateful for the many couples who took a chance on my work. Thank you for starting my career Tori & Reece!

My first wedding
2020
2020 was a crazy year with covid. I decided I wasn't going to do Dental Hygiene anymore and decided to pursue my four year degree in Business Administration and Marketing. This career path felt more like me as I knew after starting photo I wanted to start my own business! I did a lot of photoshoots including senior, family, engagement and booked a bunch of weddings for 2021! Brianna and Logan were a couple I met when I was working at a bridal store and it was so fun to sell Brianna her wedding dress and take her wedding photos!
2021
The year of weddings! This year was so much fun I had 5 amazing weddings, graduated from college, planned my wedding, completed an internship with the North Dakota Autism Center and started my first full time job at the Pines Wedding and Events as a venue manager. This was an amazing year of growth for my business and myself personally!
2022
Dynamic Studios was born. I decided to finally put everything into photo and found someone who was just as passionate. We had multiple meetings and chats about how cool it would be to start something absolutely amazing.
How Dynamic Studios was formed
When I was looking for vendors for my own wedding in 2022 I was in search for a videographer. It was somewhat difficult because I wanted someone from my area and I was on somewhat of a budget since we had just graduated college. I was asking around and was told Gavin Fernholz was amazing at video. Gavin and I have known each other since we are kids and it felt like it could be a great fit! We chatted and my wedding was going to be his first video on his own which was so cool! After he did our wedding I was so impressed. We stayed in contact while I worked my full time job and he attended college. After spending a summer working I decided pursing my own business full time was the best idea for me. I knew though that in order to stand out having video with my photography would be so much fun! I asked Gavin if he would like to have a package with me and after talking more we realized being partners would be a perfect fit. We worked so hard on finding the perfect name, launch date, logo, etc. Gavin has been an absolutely amazing addition to my business and I honestly wouldn't be anywhere near where I am without his amazing talents!

On October 21st 2022 Dynamic used this amazing video to announce that our business was starting. Our post said:
"Hello Friends,
As many of you know I have decided to go full time with Photography! While this decision was a little scary and very new territory for me it has been the best decision I could have made! I have been overcome with joy at all the love, support, and new business I have received over the last couple of months!
With that being said I did not feel my brand represented me anymore as lets be real I didn’t really have a set brand. Moving forward “Photos by Megan B.” Effective tomorrow morning will be known as “Dynamic Studios” along with this rebrand I am overjoyed to announce my partnership with @gavinFernholz. With his insane videography talent and my love for photography we hope to create some amazing content for you all in the future!
We are both so excited for this journey and can’t wait to see where it takes us! Thank you for the continued support!"

What have we been up to?
Since going full time we have done SO MUCH! We have booked three elopements. Done multiple weddings with individual photo, individual video, and photo video wedding packages. Had multiple reels gone viral on social media. Connected with local business to create amazing marketing campaigns. Been invited to and planned styled shoots that are out of this world! Attended multiple bridal shows to meet our dream clients! Talked of all our dreams and visions for the future of our business!
We are nowhere near done and have so many amazing weddings coming in 2024! Thank you to everyone who has supported our business so far! It means more than anyone realizes!
